Health Education section staff work as part of the public health team to achieve the goals of public health. Staff have been recognized as leaders in the provision of education on various health related topics, the health services available, in reaching out to encourage the prevention of illness, in helping people to choose and maintain healthier lifestyles and in reducing the toll of acute and chronic illness through client, staff and professional in-service and community education. Public health education staff are involved in numerous health related activities in conjunction with community agencies/organizations and continually offer educational services to the residents and visitors of Broward County.
